Description
They the Moccasin you weren’t ready for: instead of laces, we apply a tassel. With its antiqued leather and studded rubber sole, it’s a blue shoe with a same color tassel to show off on summer social occasions. As with all Moccasins, they’re handmade with the prestigious tubular technique to give you softness and flexibility. They’re as comfy as slippers.
Construction
It’s like a glove. The tubular moccasin construction is when the upper forms a leather tube that sits on top of the sole. It’s the definition of softness and flexibility, and feels like having a pair of slippers on your feet.
Color
Unrefined leather goes through the traditional process called “tanning”. And is treated so to prevent it from decomposition or loss in flexibility. Afterwards, the leather is put in a rotating wood barrel with water and blue coloring solution for dyeing. Water is then warmed up to 60°C to help the color bind to the leather for a lasting finish.
Material
The smooth full-grain calfskin leather, the outermost and most valuable part of leather, is brushed to achieve a chiaroscuro effect, giving it a worn look. It is then immediately polished by hand.
Sole
It's the classic moccasin sole. Small rubber studs run across the bottom surface, all the way to the back, a perfect array of rubber studs in different sizes. This job is made by hand.
