Nubuck and greased suede leather
The fine velvety feel of the Nubuck is due to light abrasion of the leather’s surface. For the lower part of the sides we chose a tumbled-effect nubuck, you can tell from the small ridges. For the upper part, the nubuck is waxed: a treatment that adds shine and increases durability. Where the straps pass through, the suede leather is softened with a layer of grease, enhancing its chiaroscuro effect.
Strobel construction
Strobel construction makes for a particularly lightweight and flexible shoe that suits casual style.
The process begins with careful study of the leather; after finding the best part, the artisan cuts and shapes it round the last to form the upper. This is then delicately hammered to smooth down the seams and soften the parts that come into contact with the foot. Now the outsole can be attached and the shoe is ready to be finished and polished.
Eco-friendly Vibram rubber sole
Made from a durable rubber blend and over 90% petrol-free components. Its color is obtained using 100% natural dyes, derived by drying plants and then extracting pigment from them.
Care
Leather gains beauty with age, so long as it is well taken care of. Here’s how:
- Use a brush to get rid of dust.
- If there are stains, rub them delicately using a soft-bristled brush, for example made from rubber (we use one made out of para rubber).
- Spray a brightening spray from 15-20 cm away from the shoe and wait for it to fully dry.
- Use a cloth to apply some neutral-colored waterproofing cream. It will help protect the shoe from rain and give it back that vintage look typical of greased suede leather.
- Use deodorizing sanitizer spray on the inside of the shoe; wait a few hours before wearing.

Design
Designed by Pininfarina: a shoe that unites sailing tradition with the spirit of the mountain.
It has three different leather finishes: tumbled-effect nubuck for the lower side, waxed nubuck around the toe box at the point of the shoe, and greased suede leather on the upper sides, where the laces pass through.
Inside, there is a contoured footbed, making each step supported and comfortable.
The lining is made from technical fabric: a soft spongy material that hugs the foot.
The woven waxed laces reflect true mountaineering tradition: two-tone and durable, with a slight shine. They finish with a small loop at the heel: a detail with that off-road spirit.
This shoe uses Strobel construction with side stitching: the upper part of the shoe is joined to the footbed, creating a bag shape. This is fixed to the outsole, with the addition of a stitch around the perimeter, to produce a soft, lightweight, and durable shoe.
Our packaging
We’ve carefully designed our packaging, selecting sustainable materials in order to reduce waste and make the packing process easier for our artisans.
The cardboard is fully recycled and recyclable, as is the twine and packing tissue. Depending on your purchase, you’ll also find one or more cotton bags for your convenience: reuse them for home and wardrobe storage, or for organizing your things when going away on trips.
Made in Italy
Production is based in Montegranaro, in the Marche region, where the tradition of shoemaking has deep roots. For a product that lasts, we only select leathers that age well and put our trust in people who have been in this industry for generations. The artisans in our workshops have learned the job through family and know each and every trade secret.
