Description

Construction
This process involves attaching the lining to the mounting sole. To enhance its vintage look, the shoe is washed without the last (the inner support that holds the shoe taut). The fabric is characterised by a crumpled effect that accentuates its different tones, allowing it to take on the appearance of a lived-in soul.
Color
Unrefined leather goes through the traditional process called “tanning”. And is treated so to prevent it from decomposition or loss in flexibility. Afterwards, the leather is put in a rotating wood barrel with water and olive green coloring solution for dyeing. Water is then warmed up to 60°C to help the color bind to the leather for a lasting finish.
Material
Suede calf leather comes from the innermost layer of leather, which is worked through buffing: it consists of abrading the surface, which reveals its typical velvety effect. It is made even softer by a layer of fat, which also enhances the chiaroscuro effect.
Sole
