Description
It's a Belgian Loafer for the minimalist dandy man who enjoys versatile and bicolor shoes that stand out from the crowd. They’re low-cut contemporary, and built to endure. With its waterproof suede leather and leather sole, it’s a dark brown shoe designed for the special collection in collaboration with Fabio Attanasio. With the blake-rapid construction it’s easy to resole.
Construction
The most valuable construction is called blake-rapid. It’s characterized by a double binding (blake and rapid, precisely): while the first attaches upper, lining and insole; the second one secures the insole and outside sole together. The shoes are therefore easy to resole.
Color
Unrefined leather goes through the traditional process called “tanning”. And is treated so to prevent it from decomposition or loss in flexibility. Afterwards, the leather is put in a rotating wood barrel with water and dark brown coloring solution for dyeing. Water is then warmed up to 60°C to help the color bind to the leather for a lasting finish.
Material
Suede calf leather comes from the innermost layer of leather, which is worked through buffing: it consists of abrading the surface, which reveals its typical velvety effect.
Sole
Made with real leather, our soles respect and pay homage to tradition. They’re made from the best bovine leather in the market and gain their distinct color through “vegetal tanning”. And, they’re made to last over time.
