Suede leather
Suede is made from the innermost layer of leather, superficially buffed to enhance its typical velvety feel.
Before cutting, artisans carefully analyse the leather, eliminating any potential imperfections: this delicate process requires time and precision. A latex brush removes dust and residue, while a coarser brush is used to revive the nap, so the shoe remains just as soft and beautiful as you see it now.

Half Bologna construction with Blake stitch
Try going up on your tiptoes: this type of construction makes for a flexible and lightweight shoe.
The process begins with careful study of the leather; after finding the best part, the artisan cuts it. The lining is used to create a pouch around the end of the last; then a half-insole is added to fix the upper to the lining. Finally, the outsole is attached with an internal Blake stitch, named after the machine used to create it: the artisan guides the shoe under the needle with the skill of a true expert.

Leather sole
Made to last from vegetable tanned cowhide. Its edges are smoothed, polished and brushed. This traditional process requires technique and dexterity.

Care
Leather gains beauty with age, so long as it is well taken care of. Here’s how:
- Use a brush to get rid of dust.
- If there are stains, rub them delicately using a soft-bristled brush, for example made from rubber (we use one made out of para rubber).
- Spray a brightening spray from 15-20 cm away from the shoe and wait for it to fully dry.
- Use a deodorizing spray on the inside of the show; wait a few hours before wearing it.
Take a look at our leather care kit: inside you’ll find everything you need to care for suede leather of any color. Entirely made in Italy, naturally.

Design
This model was inspired by a shoe originally designed by Henri Bendel in the 1940s, and brought to life by a family of artisans on the outskirts of Brussels. That’s where it got its name from: the Belgian loafer.
The tassels are handmade with needle and thread and maintain that traditional flat shape: we switched out the Belgian loafers’ typical bows for a new look.
The leather sole is made to last. Its edges are smoothed, buffed and polished. This traditional craftsmanship technique requires time and dexterity.

Our packaging
We’ve carefully designed our packaging, selecting sustainable materials in order to reduce waste and make the packing process easier for our artisans.
The cardboard is fully recycled and recyclable, as is the twine and packing tissue. Depending on your purchase, you’ll also find one or more cotton bags for your convenience: reuse them for home and wardrobe storage, or for organizing your things when going away on trips.

Made in Italy
Production is based in Montegranaro, in the Marche region, where the tradition of shoemaking has deep roots. For a product that lasts, we only select leathers that age well and put our trust in people who have been in this industry for generations. The artisans in our workshops have learned the job through family and know each and every trade secret. Just like Paolo, who polishes leather with extreme care.
