The Bottega of theater
Curtains up. In Palermo, drama is a cherished art form - and we wanted to stage our play, too. The Bottega is our stage, but also a foyer where you can enjoy yourself. You can sit on the old velvet seats restored for the occasion, look behind the big blue curtain that reveals the actors: our handmade shoes. Here, between original traditional pieces, such as papier-mâché masks from the 50s and an old puppet from the 40s, the atmosphere will take you back in time. Round the corner, the immense Politeama Theatre. Come and visit us.

We chat about the society we live in, from the famous stories to the secret ones, always keeping an eye on the city of Palermo.

Stories ran through Camilleri's veins: it was embedded within the cultural heritage of his native Sicily, land of puppeteers and puppeteer-songwriters, and before that of Magna Graecia, land of the aoidoi, divine singers.
